HEH has well-equipped out patient department. The department consists of three units. General Clinic, Pediatric Clinic and Paying Clinic. The OPD remains open from 9 in the morning till 4 in the afternoon. The OPD remains open six days in a week i.e. from Sunday to Friday. Patients can register their names from 8.45 in the morning till 3.30 in paying and pediatric clinic whereas it is open till 2.00 pm in general clinic. Examinations, investigations and minor surgical procedures are performed in OPD. In an average, 250 patients in general clinic, 40 patients in pediatric clinic and 20 patients in paying clinic are seen every day. More than 70000 patients are seen in OPD every year and 7500 patients undergo different types investigations, like color vision test, visual field analysis, AB Scan, Fundus photography etc. 
Low vision clinic, orthoptic clinic and contact lens clinic are the special clinics in Out-patient departments.
