Refresher training program for the in-charges of eye care centers and hospitals under Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS) in Gandaki Province.

On 18th May 2025, Himalaya Eye Hospital conducted a refresher training program for the in-charges of eye care centers and hospitals under Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS) in Gandaki Province. The training aimed to enhance both clinical and managerial competencies of the participants. Along with theoretical sessions, practical exercises were also conducted, allowing participants to strengthen specific clinical skills in a real-time hospital setting.

During the program, Prof. Dr. Chet Raj Pant, Chairman of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, shared valuable insights on the importance of primary eye care and drew from his extensive experience in implementing community-based health programs. His session provided motivation and practical guidance to help improve the effectiveness of eye care delivery in rural and underserved communities.

The day was filled with insightful sessions led by our esteemed resource persons: The Objective of the Training and important of Outreach was highlighted by Mr. Subhash Nepal, Ocular Emergency by Dr. Paramangana Thebe, Selection of Cataract in camp by Dr. Hari Bikram Adhikari, SHAPU by Dr. Hari Maya Gurung, Glaucoma by Prof. Dr. Indraman Maharjan and Squint and Refraction by Mr. Nabin Baral & Mr. Anup Subedi.
